Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Tomas Vaitkus, operating under Individual Activity Certificate No. 644584, registered at Šaltinių g. 3-52, Vilnius, Lithuania (“Boothless,” “we,” “us”) handles personal data in connection with the Boothless software and the website at boothless.app (the “Site”). We are the data controller for the data described below.

Boothless is built to minimize what touches our infrastructure. There is no Boothless-run cloud sitting between you and Google’s translation API. By default, audio captured by the software goes exactly two places: to Google’s Gemini API (using your own API key) for translation, and — only if you turn Broadcast on — to listener devices on your own local network. Nothing is uploaded to servers we operate.

Contact form.The contact form on the Site opens your own email client and sends your message directly to our inbox — we do not receive or store contact form submissions on any server of ours.

Purchases.When you buy a license, checkout is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email, and payment details directly — we never see or store your payment information. We receive your email address and the tier you purchased so that a license key can be generated (via Keygen) and emailed to you (via Resend).

Software use.The Boothless application itself does not send usage telemetry to us. Audio you process is sent to Google’s Gemini API under your own API key and, if Broadcast is enabled, to devices on your local network that scan your session’s QR code. We have no visibility into either.

Website analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to see aggregate traffic to the Site — which pages get visited and roughly how much traffic we get. It does not use cookies and does not track you individually across visits or across other websites; it can’t identify you personally.

Theme preference.The Site remembers whether you prefer light or dark mode using your browser’s local storage, not a cookie. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Where GDPR applies, we process purchase-related data to perform our contract with you (delivering a license you’ve paid for), and we process contact/support communications based on our legitimate interest in responding to you or, where applicable, your consent.

The processors involved in running Boothless and the Site:

• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and merchant-of-record services.
• Keygen — license key generation and validation.
• Resend — transactional email delivery (license keys).
• Google — the Gemini API you connect with your own key, for translation processing.
• Cloudflare — hosting the free-trial installer download.
• Vercel — hosting the website itself.

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with anyone beyond what’s needed to run the service described above.

Several of the processors above (including Google, Lemon Squeezy, Cloudflare, and Vercel) may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, as implemented by each respective processor.

We keep purchase and license records for as long as needed to provide support, comply with tax and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. Since we don’t receive contact-form submissions or software usage data on our own servers, there’s nothing further to retain or delete on that front.

If GDPR applies to you, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these, email support@boothless.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority — in Lithuania, the State Data Protection Inspectorate.

Boothless and the Site are not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

We rely on reputable, security-conscious processors (Lemon Squeezy, Keygen, Google, Cloudflare, Vercel) for the data they each handle. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
